Barbados Breeze captures my very first time in the Caribbean. Rick took me to a place I had only seen on computer screensavers and it literally took my breath away. The bluest water I have ever seen and I had the overwhelming feeling that I was home. I literally cried. Who we are
I was raised in Florida, with deep South Alabama ties from my Mama’s side of the family. I inherited my “Cornbread” accent—and somewhere between our front porch and the Caribbean islands that always called to me, Coconuts & Cornbread was born.

I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and until I met Melody, I had never heard of anyone "shelling peas on the front porch". She showed me the perfect blend of Southern sweetness mixed with an Island Girl vibe. Together we created Coconuts & Cornbread.
